Abstract

ABSTRACT Azizah Rahma, NIM 2130302011, Thesis title: skripsi Da'wah Messages In The Lyrics Of The Song Baik Dan Burukmu By Ungu Islamic Communication and Broadcasting Study Program, State Islamic University Mahmud Yunus Batusangkar, 2025. The main problem in this thesis is the message of preaching contained in the lyrics of the song baik dan Burukmu by Ungu. The purpose of this discussion is to analyze the semiotics contained in the film which is then reviewed from a preaching perspective, whether there is a message of preaching or not. This type of research is qualitative using Barthes' semiotic approach. Roland Barthes' semiotics is used to analyze signs and how they work by paying attention to the denotation and connotation systems contained in the lyrics of this song. The guarantee of the validity of this research data uses triangulation techniques, by comparing it with previous studies related to the problems raised. The results of this study indicate that the denotative meaning describes how the connotative meaning is formed from each lyric analyzed. Based on the findings of the author's research, the lyrics of the song baik dan burukmu contain many messages of preaching that represent aspects of faith, worship, and morals. The message of preaching faith contained in the lyrics of this song is related to faith in Allah SWT and belief in the last day and death. The message of preaching worship contained in these lyrics contains messages related to worship in the form of prayer, alms, and reading the Qur'an. The message of preaching morals contained in these lyrics is conveyed through sincerity, fortitude and patience
