PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA POWERPOINT PLEX BERBASIS MIND MAP PADA MATA PELAJARAN PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM DAN BUDI PEKERTI SMP

Abstract

This research is motivated by the limited ability of PAI teachers to use technology-based media and the unavailability of learning media that are easy to use by PAI teachers. This problem needs to find an alternative solution in the form of providing and developing PAI learning media that is attractive, easy to use, and easy to develop by educators. Answering this question, the media that according to the researcher is considered suitable and can be used by educators is powerpoint media added with a plug in plex. The addition of a plug-in to powerpoint allows the slide display to be zoomed in and out as needed. The material presented in the powerpoint is packaged in the form of a mind map or mind map-based, this aims so that the material in many slides can be presented only through the main slide and delivered in detail and can be visualized through the powerpoint show. The purpose of the research is to find out the needs of teachers for media, the validity of media, and the practicality of Powerpoint plex media based on Mind map material on the provisions for animal slaughter, sacrifice and aqiqah in the subjects of Islamic Religious Education and Junior High School Ethics. The method in this study is Research and Development (R&D) using a 4D model (define, design, develop, and disseminate) developed by Thiagarajan. The research instruments used in collecting data are observation, interviews, validity tests using the Aiken's V index and practicality tests by teachers and students. The results show that the average percentage of Mindmap-based Powerpoint plex validation is 0.93 with a very valid category. This shows that the media has been valid based on all aspects assessed by 5 validators. The results of the assessment of 3 PAI and Ethics teachers on the media were 97.6 with the category of very practical while the results of the assessment of students in class IX.A of SMP Negeri 2 Padang Panjang on the media were 89.2 with the category of very practical. In other words, Mindmap-based Powerpoint plex media is very practical to use in learning PAI and Ethics.
