dc.description.abstract Annisa Nurullita, Reg. No. 1930104011. Thesis title "AN EVALUATION THE STRUCTURE OF ENGLISH BOOKS TRANSLATED INTO INDONESIAN BY STUDENTS FROM STRUCTURE PERSPECTIVE". English Teaching Department, Tarbiyah and Teacher Training Faculty, State Islamic University (UIN) Mahmud Yunus Batusangkar. The problem of this research is that the structure of the student's translated book is not in accordance with the standard book structure in general in Indonesia according to experts. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the results of the sixth semester students' translation books in the Translation for Specific Purposes subject at the English Department at UIN Mahmud Yunus Batusangkar in the 2022/2023 academic year. The kind of this research is qualitative research by using content analysis. The data of this research are aspects of book structure that books translated has by each group of students in the Translation for Specific Purposes subject of English Teaching department at UIN Mahmud Yunus Batusangkar in the 2022/2023 academic year. The theory used to evaluate the translated books by students is the general book structure theory according to Suwarno (2011). The instrument of this research is the researcher herself. Data analysis was carried out with the steps of coding the data, evaluating the data, interpreting the data, and making conclusions. The results showed that among the seven books evaluated, none of the translated books reached the good category in accordance with Suwarno's theory of book structure. Books that have a fair category are the first book (B.1), the third book (B.3) with a percentage result of 62.5% and the fourth book (B.4), the sixth book (B.6) with a result percentage of 58,3%. For books with sufficient categories are three books, namely the second book (B.2) with a percentage result of 45.8%, the seventh book (B.7) with a percentage result of 41.6% and the fifth book (B.5) has a percentage result of 33.3%.
