UPAYA MENINGKATKAN KUALITAS HIDUP PADA ANAK & PEREMPUAN KORBAN KEKERASAN SEKSUAL

Abstract

The increasing cases of sexual violence in Indonesia has made difficult for victims, especially children to get a safe environment in the process of their development. The phenomenon in this case is like an iceberg. The reports received are difficult to describe the actual situation, because many victims or their families are reluctant to report the incident, and there is a negative view of the community towards the victim. The purpose of this study is to find out the effort that can improve quality of life for victims of sexual violence, especially children and women. Quality of life is an individual's assessment of himself positively or negatively, especially related to his role and expectations that affect the individual's acceptance of the events he experiences. The method used in this study is a literature study research method. Data collection is done by collecting various scientific literature that is relevant to the discussion. Then the data is analyzed by adjusting various sources and then compiled. The results showed that victims who received social support and intervention in the form of support group therapy could effectively improve the quality of life. Characterized by a positive self-acceptance, happier and futureoriented.
